  • Malia Movement Company (MMCo) founded by Malia Connor.
1993
  • Premiere of Heap of Lava. (4-part suite) San Francisco Dance Connections, McKenna Theater, SF State University
  • Robert Henry Johnson Dance Company (premiere). MMCo featured as guest company. Third Wave Dance Studio (Dance Mission), San Francisco.
1994
  • Black Choreographers' Moving to the 21st Century - Four members of MMCo perform choreography of master Dunham technique teacher, Dr. Albirda Rose. Theater Artaud, SF

  • Collaboration with Mingus Amungus - Members of MMCo tour with jazz ensemble until 2000.
1995
  • Undeniably Woman - Collaboration of five female choreographers at 3 theaters: Dance Gallery, Santa Cruz; The Upper Room, SF; Exit Theater, SF.
2001
  • California Choreographer's Festival - MMCo selected/invited to perform for Southern California dance festival. Malia featured as master class for participating dance companies. Laguna Beach, CA

  • Sisters and Allies Showcase. Spoken Word Event. MMCo performs spoken word and improvisational movement piece. Black Box Theater, Oakland, CA

  • Just Add Water, a collection of spoken word created by Malia Connorto commemorate 10th anniversary of Mingus Amungus. Book release and signing event. Alameda, CA
